UNLOCK THE SECRET OF A BALANCED LIFE

Better health starts with better balance – specifically, in our cells, gut and immune system. Starting with a unique test, the 3-step Zinzino Health Protocol gently balances, restores and boosts the body, increasing your chances of living a healthier, happier life.

The Omega-6 to Omega-3 ratio and why it’s essential to re-balance for optimal health:
In today’s modern world, we eat differently than we did in the early 1900s. Fast food wasn’t on the menu, nor was highly processed products high in salt, sugar, and Omega-6.
But even if you cook your own food, the ingredients are unfortunately not of the same quality anymore. Meat tends to come mainly from animals being fed inside a barn with feed instead of eating grass in the open fields and fish like salmon are farmed in closed basins and fed with fishmeal instead eating algae in the deep seas. This has a huge impact on the nutritional values in the food and thus in our cells, tissues and our bodies.

WHAT IS DHA?
DHA is a long-chain fatty acid found in seafood, algae and marine fatty fish. This important structural fat can be found in every cell of your body, and it makes up over 90 percent of the omega-3 fatty acids found in your brain.
WHAT DOES DHA DO?
DHA plays a critical role in the development and functioning of your brain. It lives within the membranes of cells, helping them communicate with one another. This is particularly important for nerve cells in the brain. Nerve cells, also known as neurones, are designed to help cells stimulate and communicate with each other.
This fluidity of nerve cells can benefit the entire body. When you have a healthy amount of DHA, your body can fight inflammation and lower blood triglycerides, among other important functions.

WHAT DOES THE TEST MEASURES?
The test measures 11 fatty acids, including saturated, monounsaturated (Omega-9) and polyunsaturated (Omega-6 and Omega-3) fatty acids. Individual fatty acid values are shown in the table and expressed as percentages of the total fatty acids measured. For comparison in the table, the average range for each fatty acid (based on data obtained from a large group of balanced people) is presented as Target Value. The following fatty acids are measured:

Palmitic acid, C16:0, saturated fat
Stearic acid, C18:0, saturated fat
Oleic acid, C18:1, Omega-9
Linoleic acid, C18:2, Omega-6
Alpha-linolenic acid, C18:3, Omega-3
Gamma-linolenic acid, C18:3, Omega-6
Dihomo-gamma-linolenic acid, C20:3, Omega-6
Arachidonic acid (AA), C20:4, Omega-6
Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), C20:5, Omega-3
Docosapentaenoic acid (DPA), C22:5, Omega-3
Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), C22:6, Omega-3
